Dr. Harold Griffin
Dr. Harold Griffin, Associate Professor, Curriculum and Instruction at East Carolina University received the 2006 Felix S. Barker Award at the state conference. This award is presented to an individual who has demonstrated long-term leadership and has made significant contributions to the field of Special Education in North Carolina.
Dr. Griffin was nominated by his colleagues at ECU for his tireless efforts to help students of all ages. In addition to teaching, writing, researching, and supervising interns, Dr. Griffin has also directed the Summer Learning Clinic for students with learning disabilities at ECU. Dr. Griffin is well loved by faculty, staff, and all the students who have benefited greatly from his compassion, kindness, and knowledge. You might see Dr. Griffin Shelling on Portsmouth or Shackleford Islands when he is not working. |
